The leader of Hamas is calling on other groups and even nations to join in, some other terrorist groups have already so this is going to get very very ugly.
Lots of people on both sides are going to die now.

It's an awful situation that's been going on for longer than any of us have been alive and I suspect will be going on long after we've all carked it.

It remains to be seen now if Israel shows a modicum of restraint once they've got the situation under control or just decide to flatten Palestine.

Israel won't give a **** after this terrorist attack, not that they gave much of a **** before what the rest of the world thinks.

Well one side might get its wish now. Hamas will need quite a few new members once this is done, if they still exist at all.Israel is not known for its subtlety.
Personally,although neither side is that nice, I will always be on the side of the ones fighting Islamic terrorism.

They have no reason to go easy or take a half measure, and they have the ability to deliver absolute devastation.

I’m wondering exactly how far they will go, I wouldn’t be surprised if they invade Gaza and just take the whole lot.

Probably one of the reasons Hamas has taken so many hostages. Soldiers, civilians, old people with dementia, mothers with small children...
I'm a bit stunned that some people can even think of supporting what they have done today.

Should have asked Hamas the day before the attack, they knew exactly what the response would be. Now they will reap what they sow (well, innocent civilians will anyway)
I should probably step back from the news, it's ******* depressing.

Having worked with some Israelis they'll no doubt be up for it, they had all done military service.

I have a few Jewish friends in London, anti Nerenyahu government and have always been live and let live types.
Talking to them last night it was basically 'kill them all' which doesn't bode well for the people in Gaza.

I wonder if it's because it was the sabbath, and a Jewish holiday, and maybe complacency over the peace talks going on?
That murdered girl in the back of a pick up was at a peace festival near the border apparently so they certainly weren't expecting an attack. :(
