And what are the ones out celebrating in places like London achieving? Why would people trying to live their lives go out of their way, possibly get fired or harassed by people in their community to ultimately achieve nothing?

In other words 'please don't kill us all'Hamas official says group is open to discussions over truce with Israel
A senior Hamas official said the group is open to discussions over a possible truce with Israel, having "achieved its targets."www.reuters.com
I suspect Israel might have already written off the hostages, chances of any of them getting out alive must be very small.BBC live feed
What about international hostages / your blowing some up in airstrikes.
I'm all for destroying Hamas but let's be cautious.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure going round peoples houses killing families and hundreds of young people at a music concert is illegal too.Why not ask them. The IDF have many tools for its use, but using chemical or incindary weapons in a densily populated area is illegal.
He's a troll.What a pathetic response. Oh no! X didn't condemn a thing! Now we're just fine to do a genocide!
There's been quite a bit of whataboutism though.you show me a post in here where anyone has said to the contrary. I might have missed it, but I don't think I have read anyone posting jsutifcation for the Hamas terrorists.
I'd like to think there would be some negotiation to get their hostages back, and let civilians leave before they go in, but I'm not sure they are in the mood. They may as well, they’ve shut off every vital supply, no need to waste ammunition now.
It's a strange mindset to attack a country that can summon up 100's of thousands of trained soldiers. I still think they have screwed up massively and really did believe they would be getting help from other groups.Low 10s of thousand strong but only just over 10K actual (trained, etc.) fighters - probably can surge to mid 10s of thousands by forcing able bodied to fight for them.
Maybe they should have thought about the consequences before they decided to murder a load of unarmed Israelis.Maybe sufficient for its fighters but not the general civilian population of 2 million, most likely.
That kind of scale of food distribution requires proper logistics and the border to be open.
No, there's lots of innocent Palestinians. But what did people think would happen? You can use that logic to justify literally anything, can't you.
"If they hadn't wanted Israel to murder every living Palestinian, they should have thought about that before becoming terrorists and doing what terrorists do."
I guess there are no innocent Palestinians, either... they're all the same as Hamas, yes?
Kill a load of Israelis, watch the inevitable Israeli retribution, fuel more terrorism. It's difficult to see what Hamas' end game is supposed to be here, unless it's to go down in a blaze of martyred glory. I cannot see them benefiting from the current chaos, whether in the short or long term. So what was the ultimate goal?
Doubt it. The world will turn a blind eye for a while, and internet hand wringing won't bother them much. The moment Israel enters Gaza, we will witness scenes that make the current violence look like a Sunday School picnic.
I think Israel will lose a lot of support when this happens.
Did you not see the one of the naked dead German girl on the back of the truck surrounded by dancing Palestinians then?
That's ok, one side is about to get it's wish, but not the way they intended I think.and if the Palestinians put down their weapons there would be no more west bank.nI don't think it is a meaningful comment when both sides want each other eliminated.
