All they seem to be able to manage is to forecast the general weather for a larger region. Exactly what will fall when and where is obviously a very hard thing to predict.
About 7 or 8 inches fell last night here (Maghaberry, N.Ireland) which made getting to work interesting! And it was still snowing when I left the house! Took 2 hours for what is normally a half hour journey, think I'll be going home early today!

Had about 4 inches last night in Port Talbot. Surprising as the steel works is like mount doom and normally the heat keeps the snow at bay
