Saw an old woman driving around before in a little Nissan Micra with her handbrake on! :o

Tried to run and catch her at the lights but they changed before I got there.

There has been plenty of snow here though! And its still falling! :D

I remember doing this, driving with the handbrake on i mean.

Took me so darn long to get moving.:)

Side roads area nightmare, felt like I was taking part in the Swedish rally, took a bloke two hours to get to work and he saw 3 cars that had crashed.

We've got no snow and wont get any but we do have lots of ice - the road to my house is untreated as its about a mile of private road. Didn't even melt during the day - very interesting driving

I think most of the minor roads near me are untreated. It compressed snow which is like ice with added snow on top. I only drive a 1.1 saxo and 1st gear is a waste of time, I expect this is even worse with higher powered cars and even more so in RWD Beemers.

next to sod all snow in nottingham.... again.

however when i spoke ot my parents re visiting them over xmas they report theres 4-8 inches of snow in places in boston (lincs) theres never any there!

photos to come! (excuse their size)

How weird, im in boston now, drove back from nottingham last night and was amazed by the amount of snow here :O. Theyve meant to have gritted the roads, rubbish job of it.

Made an igloo today, pictures to come :).

I went up on to the moors today, albeit the edge because even in a 4x4 we were struggling. Deep up there, drifts are biggest I've seen in a while in places.

Thankfully not much forecasted for this region this week, although our temperatures are supposed to remian below zero day and night which means all we've got ain't shifting either.

A high of -3.5 on my thermometer outside today.

It snowed some more and hailed a bit too, must be about 8 or 9 inches of snow now :( :

Last pic is only at the edge, it's thicker further away from the house.
