It's snowing

Snow has gone from the main roads but side roads are still lulz and its -1c so its not melting. The snow has just fused and its like ice now.

Well my flight was cancelled today from Manchester - essentially just went on a round trip to Manchester, and I'm now home in Derby (which is not quite as cultured as being in Beijing as I should :p). My flight got rearranged for this time next week, so fingers crossed it will all clear up by then!

Well, our daughter is stuck in Chingford as her car has broken down. She reported it to the AA at 5.20 and was told that someone would be with her in 3 hours. Needless to say, she's still there and very upset having been told by the AA that they can't now give her an ETA. She's been given refuge in the local Weatherspoons where they've let her charge her phone and they're loking after her. We've called the AA and they now say that the earliest anyone can get there is 1.00 am.

We're not best pleased......................

Kitty? They look massive . Kitty prints n my garden look way smaller, and you can't see the paws just small holes. Those look like, I don't know, tiger prints ?

They are defiantly the prints of a cat, use the golf club head as a size reference. The snow is on the wooden decking outside the back of my house, the grassy bits poking through the gaps are actually bamboo shoots. The bamboo plant was removed from the ground over a year ago but the thing is invincible.

You answered your own question, we are not use to heavy snowfall or cold snaps, it happens every year but for 2-3 days, living with snow for months is another matter, you get use to it. For a few days its totally different.
