It's snowing

I don't understand some driver's mentality when they get to a blocked road because someone is stuck. People just turn around and go another way.

HOW ABOUT YOU GET OUT AND HELP THE POOR ******* MOVE THEIR CAR?

It took me 3 hours to get to work (30 mins usually) last week, and I stopped to help 3 or 4 people, one of which was a small lorry. It took about 10 of us to move it, but we managed it.

I span the car twice, mainly because I was arsing around on quiet roads :p

Back garden :) Must be a good 4" of snow.

Glasgow has a dusting but roads around me are fine.
Need to get the airport bus to the airport for 6am, not sure what time I should set out to go get it.
Seen loads of gritters and council workers about though, and the pub beside me is packed. Guess people can't afford to put their own heating on - I may head down for a few.

I'm amazed to see Aberdeen has started to fall apart, lived there for a while and they always dealt with the snow fine. Read that Anderson Drive was closed, very surprising!

Just watched that video in the link there without sound, I had to laugh at what I could see of Basingstoke.

That amount of snow is pathetic compared to what we've had here for a few days now,

how can that be causing any problems?

I agree, it is a bit pathetic, and most problems were really caused by drivers who are stupid, however, we did have a bad combination down south, mainly the freezing rain before the snow, which froze on contact to any surface......

Also, the forecast was for standard rain, no freezing rain or snow. The rush hour traffic meant the gritters could not actually get out to grit the roads as they were already blocked!

My morning off in the snow documented via photo's (PICTURE HEAVY!)

Well, spent my day off giving my old dear a hand up the yard, here are some photo's. Not the best of quality due to taking them on the phone camera (W995).

Enjoy :)

All stopped + mostly gone now in Bath/surrounding areas, apart from some ice on the roads, and places that are in the shade (Gardens, lanes ect)

Hopefully more tomrrow/tonight :D

Nice pics! I couldn't take any because I was trapped at a friends house in a steep valley, with my camera at home, at the top of the hill.
We didn't have snow as epic as that anyway :(
