It's snowing

Was up on Ingleborough on Saturday, and looked a bit like Siberia!

But even now, back at home there's still a healthy layer of snow, and enough on the roads for my driving lesson to be cancelled

I'd love to live up north in Scotland - AWESOME Mountain Biking and Shooting and SNOW. Can't ask for more. :D

+1

Im down in the lowlands/ Central belt and yeah we get snow and stuff but I always say im more suited to the Highlands.

i want to retire and have some little cottage up north with no one arround so when you get snowed in you realy get stuck.

They have snow gates and snow markers up the highlands i would love to see them come into play

When it first started snowing i thought it best to take the RC car out. And yes it was hard to control as the road was ICE!

How did you even get it running in temps this cold? Mine wouldn't have started easily/atall I shouldn't think.

that will be a "interesting drive " .

When it snowed here last year, my 45 minute trip from Caerphilly > Caldicot took just shy of 7 hours

So many accidents on the road including lorrys jackknifing and blocking roads, people taking shortcuts and getting stuck.

I hate those snow gates. Drive an hour to the lecht to go snowboarding and find it's bloody closed only 2 miles from the top :(

At least they don't actually lock the gates most of the time, if I'm borrowing my parents forester then I just open them, it will drive through anything!

I got stuck on the M74 last night heading for my parents in Wales when they shut the motorway. Really was awful driving conditions, it was completely covered in snow which then turned to slushy snow which quickly turned to ice as the temperature plummeted.

Lost count of how many jack-knifed lorries, buses and crashed cars I saw. What a night, took us 7hours to get from Paisley to Gretna where we eventually gave up and got some grub and checked into the hotel to carry on today.

Snowing in Stoke for around 30 minutes now, sky is full and it's coming down at a nice pace
