It's snowing

**** me. Kids enjoying the snow. The youth of today eh?

Light dusting of snow, perhaps 1/2 inch, on the roads for me this morning (Gloucs). Road in my village was untreated, but not enough snow to cause issues, and it's all flat anyway.

There's a time and place. Outside my window at half six is neither the time. Nor the place.

Tell you what, I'll rock up at your house with my bass and amp and serenade you at that time and see if you enjoy it!

A bit of snow in places still, the downpour yesterday prevented a lot of it settling and has given birth to slush and ice everywhere. The Thames in this area certainly looks beautiful with snow on the banks and trees.

take it you never make any noise between 11pm-7am?
1day of snow and people are loosing it because kids are playing

and yes you can turn up with your amp and guitar at 6.30. at least i'll have some music while i scrape the ice of my car ;)

Quite nice drive to work, seeing all the fields white with the thinnest layer of "snow" ever. Barely any ice on the roads, but I did have to remove a fairly thick layer of ice from my windscreen. A chisel would have helped, the wipers were encased in it. :p

Went out last night in the MX5 with a couple of friends in an E30 and an E39 in the slush, and we made sure that all four wheels maintained equal grip at all times. Because we are all responsible adults... ;)

Some right miserable old gits in here. Jeeez.

No actually. I don't. Both of my neighbours have kids so I'm considerate of that fact.

Dis, are you 50+ and the owner of a "bah humbug" hat? ;)

I don't like hearing kids screaming either but if they are screams of joy I'm sure I can get over it, close my window (since its so cold anyway!) and go back to bed. Perhaps while remembering when I was a kid playing in the snow. :p

are humans in general stupid?

Average IQ=100

1/3 of the population is between 85 and 100

1/6 is <85

(Roughly)

Plenty of opportunity for stupid! :p

Disclaimer

Yes, I know IQ doesn't actually measure basic intelligence, It measures a range of skills that are deemed useful for success in day to day life. Many of those skills are learned and just because people perform poorly doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid. It might just mean that, for what ever reason, they haven't had the opportunity to learn them. However, no matter how good the basic intelligence might be, somebody who is only able to achieve a low score on an IQ test, say as a consequence of poor education, is likely to struggle in life.

TBH i was surprised. Was pouring with rain most of the day and all of a sudden big chunky flakes blowing all over the place from about 5 until 7 made seeing the road impossibly difficult depending on if you were facing the wind or not. Very rare sight for Surrey.

I enjoy the look of snow as much as anything else.

I did **** up one of my wiper blades today because of the ice though :(

I played at sensible times! And I don't own one but want one.
