everyone round has pretty much said the same. worst they've ever seen. definitely worst ive seen. snow went over my wellies earlier :(

was like that here before xmas and was terrible. the street was the same though. literally could have ice skated to the shops if i owned skates. i seen some guy slip over and just keep sliding. couldn even stop

i much prefer snow to that but i know that as soon as the snow starts melting we will get that bad ice again
 
Oh dear, had to walk halfway out my estate to get a cab to the station to go to work. Cannot get the car out as the place it is parked in is a car-park covered in a foot of snow. Most of the roads into town and the station are barely passable - wonder where the ploughs are?
 
Its not snowed for a couple of days here but the ground is still thick with snow. Its been sunny today with clear blue skies, crazy weather.
 
Just started snowing again here in Bradford. Still cant get our car off the road :mad: I'm heading back down to London house on Sunday, so not bothered about transport as I only tube it around there :)

Started up here again. Thick too! Yet again, my car is completely coated. Bloody annoying. I have a 1/2" thick bit of ice on the roof iff where it has melted, I drove it, its frozen again,. Rinse and repeat. I had to de-icer inbetween my boot and the car becasue it was diddicult to open due to the ice!
 
Haven't had snow since Wednesday in Belfast, been very cold though. Couple of pics from today of the river Lagan which has frozen over. Was really nice to see this as I'd never seen it freeze before.

My boiler works and is heating the house fine.

My upstairs cold water taps don't work (does not run through the loft though).

My hot water does not work (on demand from boiler).

Gah.

yea its great if you put your postcode in on the bottom left of the website you can see a much closer map of the area, i cant believe how close yet so far the snow has been from newcastle centre during the last hour :(
