This is confusing. Its still absolutley freezing, yet has just thundered here in Newcastle. Does the warm front only have to be slightly warm for thunder to occur?

just stuck a ruler in my upstairs balcony wall and its 8inchs deep :O some of it will have melted in the day time to i bet in the garden its 12inchs!

Was sleeping as you do but i woke up for a min and saw flash of red fill my window (red curtains so duno if was red lightening but damn i thought it was lol) and a massive thunder really really close too. Duno time of it probs around er i duno lets say 10 or somit lol.

Suffice to say it shocked me a bit.
