reviews 7.5/10 and most people complaining it's incredibly noisy and does a lousy job of cooling and only works with certain window types...hardly a great buy for £300?
and that is why i love our 300 year old house with 3 foot thick stone walls. Its so cool even in barmy weather like this. Even had the duvet on last night

Yeah it's much nicer with some clousd. Especially as I have to walk into town to pick up my hire car in 20mins!

Wow, prices of AC and cooling equipment are shooting up.
Been looking at products since 8:30 am...
One of them for example was £67.70 inc Vat, now it's £109 inc VAT
Another was £215 now £365
rental companies doing the same too:
£40+VAT became £59+VAT per day for a Gree 3.5kw AC unit
£80+VAT became £115+VAT per day for another 3.5kw AC unit from a diff company
Must be a real hysteria going on. One company I spoke to said we have so much demand we've decided we can't rent any equipment for under 16 weeks lol

It's freezing here!!!
Just to inform people that are stating that it's too hot, I'm working in an IT room next to a server room that's recently had 3 server ranks of HPC equipment removed from it and both rooms air con hasn't been adjusted for change of equipment.
So I'm sitting here in my shorts (as it's still hot outside) with a hoodie up...

It's crazy really, there will be a mad rush for fans and AC but the heatwave will be gone by the weekend
but will be back to the 30s again tomorrow.
