I feel like I want to phone in sick and have a beer on the beach.
I was going to Phone in dead but this seems like a more believeable alternative.

Just come back from my 7 year olds Sports Day. They cut it down from 2.5hours to 1hour.
Blazing hot here in Surrey now. A lot of the mums were moaning that an hour wasn't long enough. When I mentioned that the Army doesn't let soldiers train above 26C they stopped moaning.
So... on deployment to hot places you stop training?
Jungle training?
How do you practice for hot weather then.
For the rest of the week I am working from home where I have no aircon or fans.
Car is parked at the office waiting for a windscreen replacement so I can't even go out and buy something to keep me cool.
Sitting in my skiddies typing on forums ftw.
I've just seen quite a few older people wearing coats and jackets in Tesco's and around the car park, on the hottest day of the year !?!?!
ok, 5th night where I've gotten almost zero sleep thanks to the heat.
Seriously - spec me an air conditioner. Tried to rent one and spent the better half of this morning getting quotes from 8 companies in excess of £100 per week, some as high as £200 per week. Absurd when you can buy one for £200
Need something hassle free, just works and preferably very quiet so can be used while trying to sleep![]()
Why don't you buy one then? You can get a really good, quiet one for less than £300.
I am hoping for a cataclysmic thunderstorm later![]()
