Yesterday the rain came and well, rain had never felt so good. It was still too hot for any covers last night but I slept well. Today the sun is out but it isn't anywhere near as bad, seems nice.

I lived in Japan for a while and they are exactly the same. When it's hot they moan, when it's cold they moan. Just human nature.

The problem with this kind of heat has been the humidity. If it were arid it would have been great. If you like it, go out in it. If you don't like it, you can hide in the shade. You can't hide from humidity.

Perfect day up here in Fife today after a week of warm, cloudy, muggy and rainy weather. A nice clear warm 22C with a cool breeze coming in from the sea.

I think it's time for us to move down south, so jealous of the weather being mentioned in this thread recently. Everyone complaining about 30C and sunshine when we get clouds and 20-24 if we're lucky, most of the time it's 15-20C in the summer.

If you think 22c is perfect (you are correct) then why would you then want to move down south where everyone is complaining about the 30c+ heat ? :p

20c-25c is the sweet spot. You dont burn as easily, its not too hot that you are sweating all day and doesn't turn your bedroom into a kiln. Cant think of any benefits of 30c+ heat.

I already said in the previous post, 15-20C is our normal summer. One day of perfect weather doesn't make all our summers good. We don't get much sunshine up here, it's mostly warm and cloudy/haze or cool and cloudy/sunny. Warm sunny days are few and far between. The south gets the blazing heat and we get warm and overcast :)

Had thunder and lightning in Edinburgh two nights ago, was epic!!! The cats loved it and were up at the windows watching :)

Love being able to walk to work at 07:30 with just a shirt and no jumper etc. Very muggy though due to the clouds and bits of rain here and there.
