It's too hot :(

Raining quite heavily here in north Antrim northern Ireland, also a lot of thunder. But still feels quite hot.

Had a nice spell of rain this morning.
Sun is now out evaporating it.
Clouds are on the way just in time to prevent it all evaporating away to keep the humidity up :<

Same for us, Monsoon is now here. Today has been one of the most humid, thick days of my life. Literally in my pants with fans blasting on me. The last few months have been scorching hot, but this is another level.

The storms are coming in over the Himalayas now as i can see loads of flashes so I hope it rains tonight.

Thought this article may appeal to my fellow heat-haters (to clarify my opinion: heat outside = good, heat inside = bad). I know a lot of people give the 'Fail stick, but they're the only newspaper that tends to reports on relatively mundane issues like this which affect everyone.

Over the past three summers, scientists from Coventry University have been monitoring temperatures inside the £2.8 million block, which was built by a housing association to Passivhaus standards — very high requirements for energy efficiency developed in Germany.
They found the flats were at ‘significant risk’ of overheating in the summer, with almost three-quarters registering internal temperatures that often rose above 25c.
It’s not just this development. Experts warn the Government-sponsored drive to construct ever-more ‘green’ homes has created an unforeseen, but potentially lethal, problem.
For while they may help cut carbon emissions and reduce winter heating bills, they can pose a genuine health risk in summer.
As the population ages and summers get hotter because of climate change, it’s feared heat-related deaths will more than triple to 7,000 a year by the 2050s.

Daily fail. A passivhause should not become that hot in the summer. Insulation works both ways. As well as standards for windows, placements etc. Should mean a stable temperature all year round.

Anyone else feel like this summer has been pretty poor once again? I think Stoke has seen less than 10 days of what I would class as proper Summer weather.

Really hoping it picks up through the rest of the month and August.

Not here - beautiful summer, only a couple of days of rain since start of June. Temperatures in the comfortable mid-20s every day apart from that heatwave we had.
