It's too hot :(

Its cool outside but still hot inside so the fan is doing overtime trying to keep me cool.

"Met office severe weather warning for thunderstorms over entire county last night"

A few spashes of rain and some very distant rumbles of thunder. Well thats that, then.

I think I heard thunder just now and its raining hell yes!

think I will get ready and go for a walk around the city park to enjoy the rain and thunder

Does anyone else find closing the blinds / curtains doesn’t really make a difference in keeping the indoor temperature down? Maybe a degree or two difference but nothing massive.

Just had 5 minutes rain, where are my storms?

I have blackouts + thermal insulating curtains or whatever and if there is no breeze then they definitely keep the room temperatures down around 15% but if there is air movement they don't help or can even make it worse in my experience.

In days of like 30s they don't really make enough difference it is that material though you still get hot and sticky even if it isn't quite as hot and sticky as you might.

yea rains gone.

I have blackout curtains in the living room and they don't really make a difference.

In Switzerland the houses have metal roller shutters outside all the windows and balcony door usually.

they make a huge difference the windows stay shut btw to keep the hot air outside, never had AC local weather was sometimes as high as 36/37c but it was always bearable.

It's kinda weird english houses are so terrible in the summer, they should be better than the swiss.

swiss it can be lower than -12c and easily 36c in the summer that's way more of a cold/hot range than we have so why are english places like furnaces in the summer but swiss apartments arent

my black out blinds work tbh ,if the sun is blocked out its going to pretty much match the outdoor air temperature ,assuming good ventilation, through draft ,

Rroff I would love for you to find out what the cover is, if you can please.

I'm having trouble identifying it exactly - there is no branding on it and my mum bought it on a whim awhile ago (I'd been talking about getting something like it) and washed it/disposed of the packaging before giving it to me.
