It's too hot :(

yea rained here too about an hour ago but only lasted 5 mins, but it was coming down pretty hard.

looks like it's about to get really hot and humid now though

just rained pretty hard for a few minutes so I grabbed a ski jacket and went to iceland 2mins away....
literally came back with sweat dripping from my head and circles under my armpits wtf
it didn't feel that hot outside but the store was warm as can be

Question. Can you get a mobile air con unit with a 'flat pipe' at the end of the exhaust tube and shove it out the door of the bedroom?

A friend can't get split unit due to council restrictions on outdoors things. Also can't touch the windows to get a pipe out.

A few things I note:

1.) Even a flat pipe tube is quite thick, the door would still have quite a gap meaning loss of cooling
2.) It would still make the room cooler
3.) Considerations around moisture coming out of the pipe, it would need to have some kind of bucket beneath it perhaps?

You’ll turn the rest of the property into an oven quite quickly. Also with the door open, it’ll start to suck hot air back into the room so it’ll be fighting against itself. It’ll feel cooler sat in front of the machine but you’ll lose a huge amount of efficiency.

Moisture shouldn’t be a huge issue, the machines I’ve used collect it and need draining from a plug.

The person in question lives alone so wouldn't care about heating the rest of the property. The bit about it fighting itself is a concern but if it drops the temperature to a reasonable level...I don't think she will care

Thanks for the input

Heating clicked on some time around 6am this morning. Classic British summer! :p

If this doesn't change soon, July 2020, at least in Stoke will probably go down as one of the greyest and coolest on record.

Mine has a flat pipe go for a much higher BTU to compensate

Looks to be some fine weather from Friday but with civilised temperatures, looking forward. To a decent weekend with the garden getting a good water tomorrow and thu maybe
