It's too hot :(

If anybody is interested, Lidl are selling a cooling pillowcase for £5.99. I've bought one, so will see how it is tonight. Can't be much worse than the last few nights. :(

Missus had me wallpapering the other day in 32deg heat. I managed ok but the wallpaper was going curly before I could hang it on the wall.

mrs decided that she would paint the fence - one coat two panels and no activity for 3 days as it’s too hot.. to her credit she did go to Wickes and get some more pots.

I'm unplugging my equipment this afternoon. Expected 80% chance of thunder/lightning with very bad strikes in places. Not chancing it as last time this happened I had to replace some equipment!

It's 22 degrees with no wind and expected storms very soon.

I went by my local Lidl earlier and the queue was about a mile long (in full sunshine across the carpark), same with the other supermarkets. Screw that :/

I went into my loft space earlier to get a box down and it must be well over 40deg up there. I felt a waft of cool air coming back down but even that is over 30deg.

Send some rain up here to the midlands please

Icecream headache

Approx 10C lower here today than the balmy 32C+ tems the last two days, such a pleasant change, especially with the welcome breeze... And no sign of the thunder. \o/

But tomorrow might be a wet morning. :(

Had a bit of a close for comfort one with the last lot of thunder here - house not that far away got a direct hit and did quite a lot of damage - fortunately the people renting it had moved out the week before.

Student town - Loughborough

No rain for you today, sorry. We are forecasted up North for it at 7.

I'm not chancing it. Last time it was this hot we had a big storm taking out stuff with it.
