It's too hot :(

Oh, that's how I look at it too, but someone in this thread said it was "selfish" to wish for cooler weather. Weird.
That was me. Look, I like hot weather, but I realise we’re in the UK and it doesn’t suit everyone. Im happy to compromise. 4 months of good warm weather to enjoy and 8 months of rain and cold. But people like you are not willing to make that compromise. It’s got to be your way or the highway and stuff everyone else.

I'm a ****, sorry.

EDIT: That said, it depends what you mean by "good, warm weather". Happy to compromise at 22-25C daytime for four months. 14C at night.

27 is too much
Nah, 27’s nice in bursts. Obviously much better at weekends and bank hols.

I suppose it’s horses for courses. I find the people posting in the winter thread hoping for sub zero temps, blizzards and a new ice age, to be thoroughly wierd. What a great way to kill people off.

27 in shade is more than bearable.

I'd like short period over the summer of upto 29, and would be nice if by late evening it came down to 14-16. I'd accept long periods if we had occasional days of full rain - long periods of warmth without rain and the garden drinks gallons of water.

TBF heatwaves can have just as much of an effect on killing people off.

We don't really see extreme weathers in the UK, so deaths by extreme weather here tend to be very low. But if you look at certain places like the US, Middle East, and India when they have extreme heatwaves, that ends up killing huge amounts of people.

I'd rather it be 10c outside, it's easier to keep warm than to keep cool.

Exactly this. You can always put more clothes on; there's only so much you can take off, without being arrested!

Not that 10c is particularly cold either. If I go out for a walk in that temp I still end up in short sleeves within about 15 mins :)

I've just had an ice lolly for dessert and it's really cooled me down.' Im going to continue my WFH curtain closing technique as the sun moves around the house tomorrow and just cook outside on Friday, sat and Sunday.

I'm using the having big doors to let air in hack, 22c, lovley

Close those doors or you'll be having moth orgies in your house, mark my words.

Had two flies and a butterfly today. Butterflies aren't as smart as flies, as they could just be cajoled out of the window, the butterfly I had use to the old glass and card trick.

ironically i dont sleep with windows open as i dont like bugs and am almost phobic with spiders ,but doors never an issue ,the odd fly will wander in then fly back out ,i think the plants and flowers outside hold their interest.
looking like an amazing weekend ,low 20s and wall to wall
