28 is nothing, its 30+ for most of us today. Its still 30c with the sun currently going down, open windows and fan not doing anything.

It has more to do with humidity that the heat alone.
I live in an old sandstone (3 feet thick walls) house and it gets hotter at night for a period as all the heat absorbed during the day leaves at night, I can actually feel it and the sweat beads form on my skin as it happens.

30c in Yorkshire, thought it should be colder up norf but it aint.

I'm having some beers and playing some thrash metal. I have one tiny fan pointed at me and am just about keeping comfortable. Just noticed that the weather is not going to get to an 'acceptable' level till Friday. Meh. @413x must be happy

Last two nights have been silly warm, tonight the low at 0400 is forecast to be 19C and tomorrow is expected to be 30C+ again. Outside it's still 24C now, in the lounge it's 27C with the windows having been open all day. I'm not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight, about the only blessing is I haven't got to work in the morning.
That's lucky. I am unfortunately at work. Mechanic in overalls in an old workshop with a asbestos roof that turns into a greenhouse is now my idea of fun
