Was at IWM Duxford today; great day out but phooaw it was a sweater, even more so in the hangars! Now back in SE London I'm still heating up!

Did you get scalped?

I saw a massive stack at Sainsburys only yesterday, talking a good few pallets worth. I guess most people had the same thought as me, "£30, erm no ta".

You liive in SW19 and you're only just getting a fan? Are you made of asbestos or something?! The aircon went on yesterday its the only relief I'm getting right now and I'm not even in london gave up on teh fan days ago its simply insufficient

Luckily my flat is pretty cool in general, and my bedroom is north facing so it doesn't get too bad usually

Mine is too but once the building heats up its like a storage heater takes a while but when it does its too much. Its nowhere near as bad as the buildings I had to go into earlier for work no open windows no aircon and sunbaked they're just awful.

Local forecast is saying mid-30's celsius here by tuesday I'm glad I have the week off next week I'm off to the SW where it may just be a tad cooler I'll be taking teh aircon though if I can lift the darn thing...

The OH is complete opposite and suffers in the heat

I wonder whether we’ll break the hottest day record.

37C is mind blowing for the UK, especially over a few days and a low of 21C at night. Our climate is boned.
