It's too hot :(

I wonder whether we’ll break the hottest day record.

37C is mind blowing for the UK, especially over a few days and a low of 21C at night. Our climate is boned.
38.7c was the highest recorded temp in Cambridge in July 2019.

The one previously to this was somewhere on the Cambs/Norfolk border in Aug 1990. That was 38.5c. I was about 10 miles from that place. My relative’s plastic shoes misshapened in the heat

Surely they’ll close stuff for a couple of days. Madness for schools to stay in when there’s so few days left, at least for Monday/Tuesday. Our infrastructure just can’t cope, even with just vaguely extreme weather.

Supposed to be emptying the loft on Tuesday, booked the day off to do it pre loft conversion starting next month
The guy next door pointed out I have no loft vents so got a pack from Screwfix and borrowing a 70mm bit to go through the soffet must be toasty up their ,opened the hatch anyway
A loft conversion is on to do list ,need to find out what I can do before council tax is reassed
My dad's birthday on Sunday so up near Leeds on the very hot days ,at least I can keep an eye on my folks
