It's too hot :(

Thought yesterday wasn't bad at all. Decent enough weather in the day but it had cooled down enough at night for me to get a decent night's sleep.
Not looking forward to next week though...

I wonder whether we’ll break the hottest day record.

37C is mind blowing for the UK, especially over a few days and a low of 21C at night. Our climate is boned.
38.7c was the highest recorded temp in Cambridge in July 2019.

The one previously to this was somewhere on the Cambs/Norfolk border in Aug 1990. That was 38.5c. I was about 10 miles from that place. My relative’s plastic shoes misshapened in the heat

Time to do what SE Asians do and uses umbrella for shades

Forecast for Sunday and Monday is 40°C and 41°C with an overnight low of 22°C.

I‘m getting any outside jobs done by 10am and hiding from the sun for the rest of the day.

Cobra meeting about this incoming heat blast is in progress

Surely they’ll close stuff for a couple of days. Madness for schools to stay in when there’s so few days left, at least for Monday/Tuesday. Our infrastructure just can’t cope, even with just vaguely extreme weather.
