Man I'm eating so much popcorn....

Was thinking of this but attaching the foil to some cardboard and then taping the cardboard to the windows foil-outwards... would that work?Just finished night shifts
Tried the tin foil on windows trick. Absolute game changer. Noticably cooler than drawn curtains/blinds, stick it on with a spray of water, easy to remove, 100% blackout
Highly recommend it for the approaching inferno
That wet stuff that falls from the sky... rain isn't it? Been so long since I've seen it I'm forgetting what it looks like
Lol yep, it's that cool here I have put a jumper on.
First red warning ever! I'm glad I'm not in London but I feel sorry for family who live there.Wtf 40c in London on Monday according to BBC weather!!!

Not when Russia cuts off the gas, much of Europe is heavily dependent and prices are set in a global market. We are too dependent on fossil fuels and they are often controlled or influenced by tyrants. Also, no one is using any gas now anyway, you don't need extreme temperatures for that to happen. At least your saving money on your gas bill. No pleasing sone people
I was just going to tape it inside. Reasoning being that as long as the cardboard and foil are pretty flush with the window it should minimise any heat getting it.I don't see why not, assuming it's not windy enough to rip the cardboard off the window.

It's too hot for me as it is now, I can't imagine another 10C on top on this, it really is ridiculous and there will come point where it's difficult for society to even function if it keeps increasing in frequency, it's a bit of a nightmare.
With these red warnings becoming much more frequent and even happening for the first time we really should have taken the climate crisis seriously when we had the chance (we still do but it's a rapidly diminishing one).

I am, we are actually quite lucky to live in the UK, we have a particularly temperate climate without the many diseases that thrive in hot climates and hurricanes and tornadoes are practically unheard of. People complain about the weather (or used to) but there are advantages.Be glad you're not in Spain/Portugal, they have some regions that'll hit 45+.
Just put it outside to cook.Man I'm eating so much popcorn....![]()
Good tip, thanks. I'll try that. The curtains were hardly making any difference.Just finished night shifts
