I've got a new fan coming but it won't be enough, just to tie me over. Been looking at those portable air con units (do they all have a hose out the window? ) What's everyone doing regarding these? I know it won't be used a great deal and they aren't the cheapest but I'm suffering with a water heater and PC nearby...
I haven't the foggiest when it comes to air con units.
London also now 40 degs on Monday. Gosh.Look at the forecast for Kew.. first time the BBC have forecasted 40c for anywhere in the UK!

Indeed.Never thought we’d actually get to 40C. When I’m in that temperature abroad I live in the pool all day.

Tried the tin foil on windows trick. Absolute game changes. Noticably cooler than drawn curtains/blinds, stick it on with a spray of water, easy to remove, 100% blackout
Highly recommend it for the approaching inferno
Methinks I will spend Mon-Tues in the bath filled with cold water.Meep.
National emergency as red extreme heat warning issued for first time across England
Met Office forecasters say there is an 80% chance of temperatures surpassing the record 38.7C (101.7F) set at Cambridge University Botanic Garden on 25 July 2019.news.sky.com

That doesn't actually bother me. It's the 31 at 11pm that'll be a nightmare.Yup, it’s just gone up again. The ‘unlikely’ models are looking to be spot on. 31C by 11am is crazy.
