The girlfriend was talking to an Australian colleague that lives here, and he says to be fair it is still is “newsworthy” when they hit these sorts of temperatures over there.
Felt humid this morning in London at 6am but hazy so no direct sun. Opened up all the windows and got the whole place down to about 24 after an hour or so. Then when the sun started burning through closed up shop! All windows closed and blackout blinds pulled.
It's actually done the trick, flat sitting around 28 now while outside must be 10c hotter. Balcony (in the shade) felt like sitting on a sun lounger in Spain but with no pool to cool off in.
Of course its only going to get hotter as day goes on and won't cool as much overnight for the same trick tomorrow... portable aircon will be getting switched on this evening!

Portable AC has managed to get and keep the office room to 23c today which has been pleasant to work in tomorrow it will struggle to keep it at 25c I reckon which is going to be the limit of what's comfortable working in here.

Showcase Cinemas in Dudley and Walsall are offering free tickets to redheads today and tomorrow.
Says 17% here in Manchester. It's a good thing though nothing worse than high humidity with these temperatures.
