It's too hot :(

Only goes down to 20 in the middle of the night and the house will be radiating all that stored heat so I would be amazed if I can get the bedroom down under 23 overnight.

Worst thing is that you need the windows open to vent it so the curtains are open. Sun wakes you up at an ungodly hour and then everyone on the way to the station seems to love to shout at 7:30 like its a fricking jamboree.
Showing 24ºC minimum temp overnight here :( luckily in 24 hours it'll mostly be over, with windows wide open.

Unfortunately our house loves to absorb heat so it will be a long time before cool nights really return. I like the bedroom to be about 18 degrees, colder in winter. This is killing my sleep quality.

Do people have their windows open yet? Our rooms are about 28C but outside is still a good 33C, so open windows will just warm the house up.

Rear doors open now, downstairs hallway thermometer read 29c so I gave up. There's the odd breeze coming in now.

It now comes down to whether I open upstairs or not now

My portable AC unit is struggling to get the room below 25. Only turned it on an hour ago or so after relying on open doors and windows all day, which honestly wasn't too bad.

After busting off the window restrictors, the increased natural air flow seems to have had a much bigger impact than anticipated compared to previous hot days where I've tried to keep cool air in.

The AC detected the room at 31 when I turned it on and it's been churning non stop. Usually hits low 20s and goes off and on, but is plateauing at 25.
