It's too hot :(

I've been running the AC all day since about 9am. That's 2.5kw for 12 hours. My leccy bill is going to be stupid this month.

Had both my 2.5kw units on since Saturday, while regulating the temp I've barely seen anything over 1kwh of any hour in the day for the whole house usage.

That feeling when you turn the cold water tap on and you need to run off the warm water out the pipes before you get nice cold water..... :(

As others have said, this heatwave has exceptionally low humidity compared to usual UK heatwaves. So this shouldn't feel as horrible and uncomfortable
Sweat levels are definitely lower no question about that, however the air itself doesnt feel like air, outside its like I am in someone's house with shut windows and the heating on full blast its muggy and stale. But because of the less sweat its somehow more bearable than normal heatwaves. My room temp peaked at 30.9 during the day, which is not higher than it hit in previous years, so it basically countered my measures I started taking to reduce my room temp but didnt manage to exceed previous temperatures, however if we had this weather for a long spell I expect I will increasingly become less tolerant of it, so so still hoping the predictions are right and its gone by Wednesday.

It's taken over 16 years to beat the heat record in wales, and in 2003 they said that hot dry summers would be a common place and would happen EVERY year. That hasn't happened. BBC/SKY keep banging on the GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE ACT NOW RED RED RED DANGER, 1000'S WILL DIE. GB NEWS is like oh come on, it's a two day heatwave lol

To be fair hot dry summers are common place in the south east (not near the coast), and east midlands. You guys usually just get all the westerlies so typically have very different summers.
