It's too hot :(

Just had some rain here in Worksop, it's still warm out but i'd tin foiled the south facing windows & had the portable A/C on literally constant at the top of the stairs since Sunday afternoon & just occasionaly positioned it differently at different rooms.

I worked from home today as the office has no A/C & in the small bedroom where my PC is it peaked at 22c, even the living room peaked at about 26c, the tin foil made a massive difference, coming in from outside felt like walking in to a fridge even at 26c due to the contrast from 40c outside.

My office room got up to around 34 today... Survived the afternoon by getting up to soak my t-shirt in water every half hour... Drank quite a lot of sports rehydration stuff too.

Looking forward to basking in cool temps tomorrow! (max temp of 20 tomorrow if I believe the BBC).

26C downstairs. Got every window and door open, even the front door. Lots of wind moving through the house. 28C upstairs. Not bad after the 35C earlier. I think it will be another couple of degrees less doing this for another 30-40mins

Outside temps are coming down now, but the house is really retaining heat, 27.5° according to my Nest thermostat, and thats in the hall at the bottom of the stairs, it definitely feels much hotter upstairs. So much so that I’ve given upon the bed and headed downstairs to eventually sleep on the sofa. Meanwhile, my almost 2 year old’s being a ****, so I’m not sleeping anyway it seems.

24C downstairs and 25C upstairs. Really pleasant now. The air outside is very cool
