It's too hot :(

Driving back to Gloucester from Devon in a few hours, the temperature back home has dropped a lot but our house is still ~29 degrees inside. Thankfully it's lower outside so opening the windows should cool it down quickly. We left it with all the windows and blinds closed. We're praying our plants have survived, we put them next to the fence to get shade and a neighbour has been watering them and hasn't mentioned anything so I presume they're fine.

Had the windows open all night. A beautiful 16C outside means the upstairs is down to 21C now. Lovely :D

A couple more warmer days coming up over the weekend but nothing over 24C so happy days!

Just nicely cooled off ready for bed then noticed a dozen baby, but not that small, spiders in a corner near the head of my bed... so now a sticky mess after spending half an hour removing the little ******** who were determined not to make it easy.

I really struggled to get to sleep last night compared to the previous night. Despite it being cooler outside there just wasn't any breeze which wasn't getting rid of the hot air stuck in the house.

listening to accounts of people whose houses burned down, sound like they should have a BBQ ban if this weather will persist - still warm in Cambridge
Neighbour was playing around with some kind of garden fire on saturday, despite being witness to a bbq fire that took out 2 neighbours decking and fences during 2021 warm spell,
( contemplated digging hose out of garage yesterday)

Surprised Sadiq can't impose a bbq ban in his area - grabbing limelight/publicity, as ever, was speaking for london fire services on r4today, must be a great boss.
