It's too hot :(

Should have stayed at the coast. Still 30.5 degrees in my (West facing) bedroom.

In other news I won £2.70 on the lottery. Not the £195m though.

Lightening and thunder and some rain has arrived, still too warm in the bedroom tho

Edit: nice whilst it lasted, feels like its taken a little off the outside temp, not much use for indoors tho :o

Badly need some rain here, Those of you had storms please remember it wasnt nationwide.

Outside air officially is cooler (24C, London is 21C 3 degrees lower, Leicester almost hottest part of UK at this current time, found neighbour Nottingham at 25C at almost 2AM), due to bottom out at 19C at 5am. But indoor temps are horrible, I woke up after only a few hours sleep drenched in sweat, now opened windows and front door, but is literally no wind or breeze so nothing to blow the cooler air in my home. The room temp is stuck at 29.2C. Hotter than last night yet the heatwave is supposed to be over.

If could just get a windy storm it would provide relief, Leicester only has a 65% chance of rain tomorrow, at 5pm. Depending if the storm makes it up here from London (most die off and dont make it, in summers on average about 2/3 of predicted storms dont happen here).

London has higher air quality as well and over twice the wind.
Norwich, Nottingham both at 25C, looks like the east still under the heatwave. Wow Norwich only bottoms out at 20C and due to hit 30C tomorrow still. The live temp for Norwich and Leicester is 3C and 4C higher than the 2AM prediction, so the predictions are off looks like the hot air isnt budging from the east.

Basically all the roasting gammons in the uk right now  apparently it's just fine

Jokes aside, interesting times, climate change, making real impacts now - I bought an aircon unit, as frankly, every summer this day forth will get hotter, and hotter and hotter, *awaits comment that running aircon ruins the env* - yesss running it off solar power ta ;)

Of course, tackling climate change can only happen with system change, when the No.1 priority stops being profit, everything else can fall into place. An individual 'working class' person won't change the world no matter how many plastic bottles they throw in a coloured bin - real change comes from stopping the 1% and profit at all costs approach.

Looking at the forecast website, if they dont back out again the east is in the remnants of the heatwave until Thursday/Friday.

Made my own summary here. :) Looks like the east will get 1-2 days of relief before more heat arriving at the weekend.

I've had three hours sleep, it's an absolute sauna in the house. Even outside is only a small drop.

I'm currently on the spare room floor as it's the coolest room in the house but not by much and it's full of stuff so I'm not getting anymore sleep tonight

What a dum dum. I’ve had the tower fan on top of a side cabinet and it barely feels like it’s on. Now I’ve put it on the floor next to me, it feels more like a gale. Beautiful. Good night all. :o
