It's too hot :(

Had a storm in early hours of morning and was awake, was such a surreal experience not having been in one awake for over a decade.

First the flash of lightning came with no rain, thunder about 3-4 seconds after.
Then the next flash with thunder about 2 seconds.
Then it started raining, heaviest had for many years, usually only light showers here.
Then the next flash I seen it very well defined very thick lightning, and the thunder almost immediate after it.
All the flashes after this the gap between lightning and thunder grew rapidly, and after the next two was behind my house.
A few minutes later I could only hear distant rumble seen no flashes.
10-15 minutes later the rain stopped and all was done.

So a very short lived storm, and rain didnt last that long either, it must have been moving quite rapidly. Such a rare experience in my part of the country, will I witness another within 10 years?

Good storm kicking off in Southampton again. Absolutely biblical rain coming down. I think I might have underplayed it a bit, this is mental dowm here right now

A very nice storm somewhere in the distance from SE London. Beautiful heavy rain. I can't hear the thunder but I can see plenty of lightning. Must be a way off. The rain sounds amazing though.

I can hear it too in welling. Lightning map showing intensity around southern to SE England and there’s a huge front over the English Channel. This looks like it means business. Weather warnings too.

Had one massive clap of thunder around 7pm or so and maybe 3-4 smaller ones and that was it, torrential rain for a couple of hours which is badly needed.

Big thunderstorm in abertridwr now.

And, yeah, that is spelled correctly.
How I imagine those who want the sun gone.
