It's too hot :(

I have lived in the philippines before and its super hot there. However, there is a reason why people are not out and about walking freely for long during the mid day…

It’s why schools and business’s start way early(6am) and why people actually take naps/breaks during the midday too.

Also, most commercial places have air cons on full blast and some houses have them too.

Houses there dont have triple insulation like ours too.

I've lived in exotic places too. People just like to whinge here. It's good popcorn material. :D

Triple insulation works in our favour though... insulation stops the transfer of heat. That can be heat from inside to out, or stop heat from outside getting in.

LOL within reason though. In the Philippines as i said, many buildings have air cons

Yea that is true i guess. The thing is, many bog standard Victorian 1930-1960’s houses are not insulated well at all.

Nearly all building have ac here. Even some of the tube now has it. Cars have it too.

It's just homes that tend not to have it here.

AC in homes isn't a bad idea as it can dehumidify the air and if you have solar panels costs barely anything to use in the summer and in the winter can help top up the central heating.

About 25 degrees here in Kent. Just been out in full arc flash/flame retardant PPE for some checks. Definitely would not want to be doing it in another couple of hours.

God, I love this weather, shame we only get three or four months of it in a year.

waking up to 26c one of the worst sleeps I've had not for me just gets uncomfortable even more so at night today was the first time experienced it this year not fun and house is built to keep the heat in its the humidity not great in the city :( also I love spicy food and its not as enjoyable , glad its only for short period

Finally after 4 weeks of North East winds up to 27mph and temps of around 12°C (10°C with windchill) we are seeing warmer temps of 19°C
Not exactly that warm, but at least I can take one coat off.

its the humidity more so in the city and its not fun living in house thats designed to keep the heat in , while exotic warmer places actually feel better

On a positive note looking forward how tall the sunflowers grow :)

Guess we're all different, I value whatever sunshine we get in this country, as we get so relatively little of it during the year.

We don't even get decent snowy winters like we used to, if it's not raining, the weather is usually dull and grey.

Lol, got the AC units out, just ready for next week if we need them.. at 8:30 this morning it was 24C here and the Mrs gets hot flushes, so put the AC on and dared to complain she was too cold...

22 celcius at 0700 this morning. Didnt drop below 18 last night. 28 in bedroom. Doesn't bother me sleeping in this. Can sleep through anything. Currently 27 celcius, bit cloudy.
