It's too hot :(

Nice to get outside and cool off!!! 6 hours in the kitchen today.

Similar temps here but I did 10 hours :(

Nipping to Edinburgh today for a short 2 night break (up from Leeds), hoping it's a little cooler. Not sure the all day bus tour tomorrow was a good idea, hope we we spend a lot of time off the bus.

Love the forecast at the moment. Sun sun sun. Reminds me of being back in the Med. You never need to check the weather. Glorious every day!

It's nice and cool in the evening too unlike the Med so best of both worlds really.

Exactly this. Rhodes last year was lethal it was the usual mid thirties to low 40's and didnt drop below 28 at night. The humidity was hideous for a few days also, usually 30-40% during the day but was 80-85%.
Roads were soft under feet.
We never bother with Aircon though.

So 18 celcius here is easy peasy to sleep in, bedroom was 27.5 last night even thats fine.

How do you manage in winter can I ask if you think 27.5 bedroom temp is fine, to me this is unbearable and means zero sleep, I need the bedroom under 20 to get any sleep. didn't used to bother me too much when I was younger but then hot temps were very rare, I swear I've Viking blood in me as much prefer the cold and very rarely ever too cold.

doesnt feel any different in the evenings / night actually think its worse because trying to sleep, the house likes to lock in the heat , but yeah 1am-5am does feel nice outside :)

I think it's just because I'm used to it that it doesn't bother me. I mean when I go back to the Med it takes a good week or so to get used to the weather again. My family all wear jumpers until May where as I'm quite happy in a thin hoody/top!

The one thing I do agree is hard work is the humidity. That is draining and even my lizard family struggle with it.

Anyone else try and keep the parked car temperature down, I here of people with electrical problems after extreme heat and I had a gear lever seal melt on my old Fabia a few years back.
Anyway I tend to leave window gaps and put the alarm on non movement mode, plus reflective screen

Sad the heat is slipping this weekend.
But I do love Wales!

Being able to be out at 10pm and still be 22c? That's heaven for me. Been an amazing day.

But went for a lunch time walk in the woods

Then over the mountains briefly

Managed to get out in kayak though for sunset. Had 3 friends join too. Only got back at 11pm

Have a thermometer in my bedroom. Know if its 25c+ I am not going to get much kip. Its 26c

When my room is over 22 I get two hot water bottles in the freezer and wrap them in a towel, have a layer or two of the towel separating them but their freezing temp lasts all night because they supply each other, lasts all night with lovely way of making your body cool down when you touch it, when its 25+ I also add freezing ice cubed bucket with wet flannel and if more 28c+ I go even further with soaking a towel, mattress protector that's waterproof is best for this and sleep on wet towel, it got me through that mad day last year in July when it got to 40 with us and was about 30 still going to bed.

Praying for heavy rain. It will help me not going to my parents' each day to water their plants as flew out for 2 weeks on Monday. Love gardens. Hate gardening.
