It's too hot :(

I think the Autumn suits me more than summer, i can walk without been a sweaty mess, we lose lots of tourists, the decent long period swells start hitting yet we still have mild sea temps up to December, a pristine late September sunny day is my ideal

Reason I like it is because I just take myself down the beach.
Last year when it hit 38 here i was on my kayak at the beach, sun was setting, someone was fire spinning, people were having bbqs.
It was amazing.

Had to go back to Lincolnshire last weekend and it was so humid. It wasn't nice. And it was only 32

I'm sure it wouldn't be eye same if I didn't live here in Wales now
Yeah the coast is usually a great place to be on a really hot one, yeah I'm in east yorkshire so if we get it really hot like this weekend its often overly humid, this weekend was much worse than last one though with us, its cooled down outside but the rooms refuse to come down much.

Should I be worried? We might be getting 40cm hail stones.:D:eek::D

I guess you got to go through summer. It makes September sweeter when it arrives.
Totally, summer for me sometimes when its really hot does seem like a quest to get through, even the latter 2 august weeks I see a major change in the feel of summer, its getting a bit darker earlier which makes a difference with it cooling down more at night, I do think September is my fav month saying goodbye to summer.

Supposedly today is hottest day of the year:

Not suprised. I was so hot and sticky I actually contemplated becoming a hermit and spending the whole day in my fridge freezer

It is the stickyness that gets me, I keep getting stuck to my leather sofa if i don't wear a t shirt (because my body is producing sweat by the bucketload) but if you wear a t-shirt, it justs helps your body store heat.

I think it’s gonna get a lot hotter this summer

Ooof dunno why but I'm sudden sweating like I've got COVID, dunno why - coolest part of the day and just chilling quite comfortable with just a slow speed fan pointed at me.

Forecasts look like a long summer of heat but mostly upper 20s with the odd day potentially >30, interspersed with the odd cooler but muggier :( days, but mostly resuming to days like we've had recently.

Too much sun? That can give you the chills.

Thankfully it was a much cooler night and today is comfortable. Much less grumpy today (well, there's always the resting grumpy face of course) :)

Haven't been out in it enough for that. Possibly digestion related mixed with it being kind of close/muggy despite being a bit cooler.

Had a few miles out yesterday on the mountain bike, along the coast and it was packed.
Temps were around 28°C which was noticeable when taking a break from riding.

More like this please :)

Can't afford to get aircon this year due to other house projects, but if anyone wants to get a fan to see them through the summer, the dreo tower fans are amazing. I was surprised at how good they are.
Obviously they don't cool down the room, but they cool you down plenty enough to get a good nights sleep. Very impressed with them.

Boo! Very boo to this. :)

Seriously for me I come alive the hotter it gets and have set all my best times riding on some of the hottest days.

Done some long walks abroad a while back in 45°C and walked from Steins (Sandbanks) to the centre of Poole during last years hottest day and so did the OH :)
