I’m perfectly happy for it to be hot in summer and cold in winter. Why can’t others be like that, it must suit them exactly as they like it, sod everyone else.

Hot to what point where you struggle to keep yourself cool ? Or struggle to sleep ?

It's currently in the 20c's which for me is neither hot or cold would say it's pretty much perfect but we are all different :) I actually would prefer it to be slightly cooler as I still have the fan on

Hot to the point where you can feel the hot sun on your face, you can wear only a pair of shorts while enjoying an ice cold beer, eat bbq and salad, actually get a tan and you have to sleep starkers on top of the bed. 25-28 clear skies is perfect

I wonder when we'll start getting floods like this thanks to climate change

New York state looks to have some crazy flooding too

This was Zaragoza, northern spain last week:

I can't imagine it's going to be too long until we start regularly seeing stuff like this closer to home. The last few summers have seen some crazy downpours in the UK.

Both have pro and cons . It's the humidity that gets me and even now I feel hot and uncomfortable and it's currently 23c inside

Although not quite this big, we’ve had our share this year.

No doubt becoming more common.

In an ideal world the water companies and councils would invest in improving the water carrying capabilities of our aging systems, so it wouldn't be an issue, I could understand if it were just dumped on us, but the warnings have been there for decades now that these exact events are going to happen and the stupidity of thinking it's a great idea to build in areas that historically flood

Clear skies reduce humidity, it’s cloud cover that makes it muggy.

we get more humidity in the UK last summer was one of the worst I've experienced so pretty happ with the current weather, neither hot or cold saying that I still have the fan on as soon I turn it off I can instantly feel heat hitting my face

Lovely weather today. A little humid but was 23C with mostly blue sky. Had a nice run at lunchtime. Looks like it’s going to rain a little overnight but sitting at 23C for the rest of the week with sun.

We do get stuff like that regularly - the latest I think Queen Camel in May.

Climate change may play a part and something I've been warning about for years but mostly this is down to the change of use of land and related development and a [sometimes cynical] decline in maintenance to manage flooding.
