It's too hot :(

You really should remove that chip on your shoulder.....my comment was my opinion on 3 storey houses and how I feel about them in general. You've read it as having a dig at your daughter's choice of home
Well you've obviously not read it properly as a niece is not a daughter, mr super critical skim reader

I know the rain is good for our gardens and the wildlife but getting a bit tired of it. i'd love low mid 20's C and a few dry days weeks now for a bit, could take my bike out.

FTFY. We've had a solid month almost of cloud, rain, wind, cold. I want more than a few days!

More dinge this week.
Not looking good for camping this coming weekend.
Would love a 22-27c holiday. Don't think got any chance of anything better

Pretty mixed bag up in Yorkshire but some nice sunny breaks today.
Missing my water sports back home in Cornwall, I learned to windsurf up here in Wakefield but no craft at all on here now, think the council dropped it all , such a waste
Ah well here's some ducks

Well what a difference a year makes...

40 Celsius a year ago and now we've had weeks of it only being around 20-22 Celsius (well down south) with some sun but with a more autumnal wet and windy pattern (welcome rain). I'm wondering if this will be one of the coolest Julys on record in the UK? I don't recall having such a prolonged cooler spell at the height of summer.

The continuing heat in southern Europe though

Doubt it’s the coldest. Long term average is trending up but still only 22.8C here for July between 1991-2020.

I think the heatwave last year is distorting your view on UK summers - the UK average for July is 20c for most parts of England, in Scotland the July averages are 16-18c. This weather is absolutely business as usual for us
