It's too hot :(

Forecast showing 12 hours of thunderstorms here overnight and into tomorrow - can't really see it though the models aren't showing anything more than marginal conditions for it.

It's hard to type complaints about this week's weather in Cheshire and build an ark at the same time. On the bright side, Wickes All Weather Polymer sealant seems to work well even when you're up a ladder with the heavens trying to wash you off the conservatory.

Repeat after me... we can't have our cake and eat it too. It's definitely not too hot, thankfully! Glad we live at the top of a hill and not the bottom though. The Northern Powerhouse will be powered by watermills for the forseeable future, just like it used to be when whippets and flat caps ruled the Empire. And HS3 will be a ferry from Liverpool to Newcastle (it'll still get there quicker than current rail connections).

Which part of south NW are you pal?

Long term exile from Buxton, now over the hill in Macclesfield. But for some reason at the moment it appears to be not raining. I fear the weather may be broken.

Or maybe that Wickes sealant is more effective than I thought?

Maybe we need an "It's too wet" thread now?

Journey home from East Manchester to near Buxton was like piloting a boat at some points!
Love the fact that the new Manchester Airport Relief Road, that was finished last year, has been closed - only boats can get down it now!!

My brother was driving back from work in it on the A303 - so bad at times he had to stop as he literally couldn't see out the windscreen. Just after he went through there was a bad accident near Wincanton probably caused by it and assumedly people not adapting to the conditions.

You can have some of ours. We had an hour long tropical downpour mid afternoon.

Temps still cool. Struggling to get above 20c. Summer almost over.
