It's too hot :(

I really want to move to Scotland! lol, what are the midges like around the time of year / June? When are they at their worst ?

None at all where i live. I'm on the west coast. The midges can be a problem much further north, if you're unlucky. You take precautions. It took me a few years to settle here though, I left all my family and friends behind and that was difficult.. But the quality of life up here makes it worth it.

47deg in the loft!

Just spent 30 minutes on the treadmill which probably wasn't my best idea but now having an ice cold (0%) beer to make up for it. :D
I've just been recovering from the dog walk and just starting to feel a bit more comfortable and now the sun's coming in the living room windows and heating that room up. I think I'll have a cold lager for dinner :)

Just made myself a coffee.. double shot espresso into a cup with ice in it..

Left the Gazebo up from yesterday.. grass is loving it. Even put some reflective bubble wrap to shield two plants that almost expire in the full sun but bounced back overnight.

I was walking around a couple of reservoirs this morning Errwood and Fermilee (they are right next to each other), went with my lad this morning, thought we'd get round before it got too hot.

Been out sunbathing last hour and a half.

Gonna do 30 more minutes then cool shower then pub.

Life is good.

There are also new types of heatpump which heat in winter and cool in summer like air conditioners and yes they are eligible for the £7500 government grant.

It’s not like an air conditioner, it is one. It’s just that since they gained popularity in the UK they’ve only been used in air to water systems which is efficient and a simple drop in replacement for our heating systems using radiators

Most of the world uses them in an air to air system (What a lot of places call central air) meaning the direction of air exchange in the system can be switched between heating and cooling.

Houses in the UK just aren’t built to make it an easy transition
