To many bitter people its all a bit of fun and if u win u win OP tryin to do someone a favour and as per peeps bumping there gums some people need to grow up, christmas is a time for giving being merry time to lose the bitterness

its nothing to do with beeing bitter people are annoyed the op laid out some rules people followed them and in the end they were ignored.

its almost as bad as if it were a fix.

it wasnt even the persons entry into the competition it was a post asking for an update :rolleyes:

People are annoyed that they didn't win. Ideally the number should have been regenerated until a valid post was found, but the amount of moaning going on is pathetic.

If I win on the re-draw, I won't be giving it away, because I quite want it, but instead I will send him a replacement secret santa gift. Something more appropriate.

No one cares that someone else won it (the only reason people would care if it was done properly is if it went to some guy who has been a member for like 2-4 years with less than 30 posts.....), they are annoyed because the winning post was not a valid entry and was a duplicate as shayper has posted twice (maybe 3 times?) in this thread where as most others have only posted once and therefore didn't stand as good of a chance against someone who has 2 or 3 entries and more so the fact that the post wasn't even an entry, just asking for an update and the OP should have redone the random number thing again due to it not being a valid entry.

Personally I really want the soundcard as well, however I am happy for it to go to RobH as shayper said.

So it is up to the OP, what he wants done and what the majority here would like to be done, I am not bothered, yes I want the soundcard and if a redraw is not done and the card goes to robH, then I am happy with that as well

Although what shayper could always do instead, if he really wants robH to get something is just give him the 4GB of RAM (obviously if robH wants/needs that though, as he may have 8GB of RAM)

Amazing how many people with very few posts, or have only been here a short while, feel entitled to something that is being given away. Not really in keeping with community spirit, but that's just my view.

Stop moaning about the 'Christmas spirit' and 'people starving'.

If your going to give something away, why don't you do it properly? Even if your moaning on about giving it to someone else (if you really are) its still unfair. No matter which way you look at this its always going to be unfair until you do the draw again.

The OP can do whatever he wants, but you should have done all the calculations before you posted the result up. You might as well have given it to anyone.

People try to be kind on OcUK and are met with anger by childish members of the forum and they then wonder why people aren't kind very often on OcUK...

The OP didn't have to give it away, he/she CHOSE to out of his/her kindness. It is not unfair because nobody DESERVED it, the OP is allowed to give it to anybody, and tbh I'm surprised he/she hasn't packed up and refused to give it out at all. Disgusting behaviour by some of the spoilt, selfish members of this forum.
