Don't smoke myself, but I thought I'd post this in the hope it will stop someone here from smoking.
One of my Mum & Dad's best friends & I'm friends with him too (who's been smoking at least 40 a day since he was 9 & now in his early 70's) had been diagnosed with liver & lung Cancer. Doctors have said its down to the smoking & wont say if there is any more hope for him. They have said they'll treat him but the prospects aren't good. I'd say he's got months to live. He's scared stiff & is bursting into tears at random.
In February last year he died in a lot of pain (the Macmillan nurses were giving him morphine at the end)
After hearing this I can honestly say it would put me off smoking for life if I did smoke, I'm glad I don't & none of my immediate family don't either.
