Jack Tweed

hes the one making the mountain whining about it probably so he can sell some story to the magazines

Here's a question:

If you were in his position and your wife had just died, what would you do?

I doubt you'd just shrug and take it on the chin.

Its a bit of a non-news story seeing as they do get out for funerals.

Fair enough in my opinion, I'd normally be one for locking people up and throwing away the key, but I do agree that you should get out for a funeral. You get accompanied by two warders if I'm not mistaken and are cuffed to one at all times.

Let him go to the funeral only, then have him back in court or prison.

Plus I cant believe its taken a nearly a year for this case to go to court, absolute disgrace.

not whine to the press about something that he will be going to anyway.

surely his solicitor would have told him...... who said he isnt allowed to the funeral? ofcourse convicts get escorted to funerals all the time he is probably whining because he doesnt get a full day out without guards escorting him

Lets just clarify things for the Crim-hating brigade in this thread.

EVERY convict has the right to apply for compassionate release from prison to attend the funeral of their Father, Mother, Spouse or Children and only these closest of relatives. This will granted unless the person is deemed to be an immediate threat to the public or at high risk of escape.

Just because you don't like the guy and just because he is (quite rightly) going to jail soon doesn't mean the poor sod shouldn't be allowed to go to the funeral of the wife he has just lost.

Jeez - there are some uncompassionate gits on this forum some times.

most people are probably riled up a bit because hes making it seem like he isnt allowed to go when its obvious the chances are he will be allowed.

why its even beeing reported in the first place gets my back up its non news and i couldnt give a turd so i dont even know why im posting in this thread

Well maybe he shouldn't go clubbing people over the head with golf clubs and attacking taxi drivers.

To think he only served four months of his first eighteen month sentence!

Poor musunderstood chap!

He was treated no differently to others in that respect.

There are a lot of people who are not in the public view who only serve a fraction of their sentence, ie 18 month sentence and out after 4 or 5 months.

Jack Tweed = ****;)

I only hope he sorts himself out now as he has a lot more responsibilities now looking after those children!

They're obviously not just letting people out for every 'important event' though are they? Get a grip. I'm not saying that Tweed has any more right than other prisoners who have had spouses die whilst serving time, but other prisoners haven't had these bizarre events surrounding them, or the media banging on their door.

Will it hurt -- considering they already allowed the wedding to go ahead -- to let him see her off? No. It's not as if her death was unexpected is it?

Mountain out of a damn molehill.

I really dont care, if you commit a crime and and are sent to prison, that's where you should remain until your time is done. You accept this when you break the law. Maybe he should've thought about the future consequences when he was belting someone with a golf club... But hey ho, they'll let him out anyway, so who cares?
