Soldato
I have no idea, but I can't see a man of David Dein's experience spend £5m on a player who could walk away at any given time, Peter Kenyon perhaps...

Onwards and upwards!
I think it was simply a matter of striking while the iron is hot in Walcott's case, as he'd have simply gone somewhere else if we'd waited until the summer. As for money, we've still only spent what we got from the sale of Vieira last year, so Wenger not completely out of pocket yet.CliffyG said:I'd much rather we spent that money on a good defender and A.N.Other to be honest. Unless of course Wenger still has some cash to spare it seems stupid getting a player in where we have plenty already in his position who probably won't even get to the first team for a couple of years.

Ordinarily i'd agree. But with the way we've been doing this season for goals, goals definatelly arnt a problem. We've got some crazy stat like 15 goals in 4 games for us!Jazz said:...and with Milan they aren't known to be a high scoring teams...
I agree. When he's needed, his game raises significantely.Sheva really is known to score in the crunch games, whenever a big game comes for Milan he is the one they look to and he rarely lets them down.
I agree, he does need service to score, but regardless, he's shown that he's slowly adapting to life without the haircut crossing him the ball.I think the reason some people don't rate him is because he is very reliant on people creating chances for him so he can put them away. When Man utd's playmakers go through a bad spell Ruud's bad spell seems to come at the same time.
