Nope, i recognise his talent and know what he's capible of.

You're also not the only person I've heard rave about him. He must have something, and he did show glimpses at Norwich. I hope he does come on for Euro 2008, more strikers the better for the national team as I see it.

I mean, he's already better than Crouch.

As a Norwich fan even I admit he would have done a lot better with us had the service from our midfield been better. Still, been with us a year and scored 18, not too shoddy and I'm sure he'll improve on that elsewhere.

if he can show his form for norwich at west ham i would take him to the world cup no dobut - he suffered when norich got him as he was worthy to a move to any top team really in my opinion. so much better than johnson its untrue. strong in the air and good on the deck - the next best thing to the shearer of old. i think it could be three out of defoe, crouch, bent and ashton - defoe could be in trouble for his place tho i do rate him ever so highly.

Svens already made it clear that Crouch is definitely in the team, so Rooney, Owen and Crouch would be the definites in that case. Doesnt leave a lot of room, certainly not for Ashton.

We'll see come the next Euros, theres too little time for him to get in the WC squad. He needs experiance against EPL players.

Dont get me wrong, ive got a lot of confidence in the lads ability, but unless he does something amazing before the end of the season like scoring 50 goals, i cant see him even being considered.

You never know svens put people in who have done bugger all and if he gets a few goals - who knows?

Why is crouch getting such a slating. Crouch is a very good player. not complete by any means but very usefull and very good at making the rest of the team look great and linking play between midfield and attack. He's not a natural goalscorer but play him up fron with someone who is a natural goalscorer and there is troble for defences. He takes a lot of defensive effort to keep under controll leaving a lot of space for everyone else to do damage.

Yes I am a liverpool fan, but I liked crouch last season and I'm glad weve got him. also very good at coming off a bech and changing a game rather that stepping into someone elses shoes.
