January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

Rumours that Lescott is going back to Everton on loan. Mancini has "lost faith" in him.

Looking at Sakho, Agger and Coloccini as replacements. All three fit the mould that Mancini wants but I can't see Agger or Colo joining. Sakho is a real possibility but I don't know how good he is, a reputation on FM can be deceiving :p

EDIT: Juve looking at Kolarov also, Kolarov has done alright for us but he can be very frustrating at times. If we get an offer around 7-8m we will take it I think. We have a very talented LB in the reserves and also Zaba can play LB.

Txixi's whole plan for this Jan and the summer is to reduce wages and move old players on. Selling Kolarov and Lescott would be the first signs of that and if we moved them on as well as the ones leaving next summer it won't be far off 20m in wages saved straight away + the fees we get.

He was always incredible but had hilarious contract demands for an unproven 20 year old Danish man - like 80k a week or something ridiculous.

I've never understood whhy Tosic wasn't given a run in the first team, he looked a very tidy player to me but a bit lightweight. Any insider information from the Manchester United fans on here as to why he never got a decent run?

Really enjoyed signing him on FM too /unrelated :p

I'm sure he would have worked his way in to the team but instead he was impatient and wanted to leave.

Did he? He didn't really get a lot of a chance with us. I didn't know he wanted to go though.

I remember he went out on loan in Germany, plus he came from the Serbian leagues (i think) so he needed to adapt his game a lot. Fergie wanted to keep him but he wanted 1st team football so he left. I read somewhere a while ago that he regrets leaving and thinks he should have stayed to fight for his place like Alex Ferguson wanted.

He'll be linked with Arsenal tomorrow. Everything about him screams 'Wenger Buy!'

LOL we are now being linked with Demba Ba:p

Meh personally id like us to bring back David Dein back to Arsenal, since he left in 2007 was it?? We have been going downhill, he signed players like Henry, Viera, Petit, Pires, Bergkamp and Fabregas and we have sold every one of those players and havent in the slightest replaced them with quality players. When he made those signings, we werent in any financial trouble. And he was the one who brought us Wenger and the 11 yrs they spent together, saw us scoop quite a few trophies.

Ive been saying it for the past few yrs that since Dein left Arsenal, we have been going downhill.

Outside of doing the negotiating which is more about wages and clauses, its the players themselves and afaik the picks have Wenger's/previous manager, not Dein's.

He may have done well, and maybe he's the one who brought names to Wenger but I doubt it. We started signing trash before Dein left, and let top notch players leave due to Wenger's delusional man management skills. Pires/Reyes walked due to Wenger's treatment, and Wenger's absolute love for Hleb over either of them. Hleb was a complete and utter turd, he IS Gervinho, runs around in circles and gets no where. The problem was when the manager had Overmars he got rid of him to get Pires, okay, getting rid of a worse player and getting Pires and having Overmars would be great but it was a sound business decision.

Watching Hleb and Pires play together and CHOOSING Hleb, and then angering Pires to the point he leaves a club he loves and wanted to see out his career at... thats where Arsenal started the decline, and it has smeg all to do with Dein.

Wenger lost his mind around then, and got worse and worse from that point onwards. Buying the wrong players in general, losing players we needed, benching great players for ruddy awful ones.

Personally I get this feeling that Wenger has a "way" he wants each player to play, and if they don't do exactly what he wants, they go bye bye. He's turned into a complete control freak trying to get successful again but its made him a terrible manager.

IE Arshavin is an unpredictable quality player, but Wenger wants something else from him, so he goes with Gervinho who might be crap but does anything Wenger says.

Manchester United need to have a good transfer window to make up for doing terrible business in the summer :o

Tottenham just need to build on the amazing transfer window they had in the summer.

Fergie's said no signings next month, obviously that wont put an ended to the speculation mind :p

Expect Sneijder stories at least every week lol

Still think the squad is carrying too many passangers, and surely Nani will go in Jan at the very least (just from maximizing the return / cutting the wage bill), even if Fergie keeps to that promise of no new faces.

Without even considering Macheda and Bebe leaving also
