that's ridiculous goal keeping. i bet he got the hairdryer treatment for being so stupid.

Reina's distribution has been ropey for a few years now. He should move to rugby, his kicks find touch 9 times out of 10. :p

Nah its looked ropey a few times, mainly under those shocking few games he had where people thought he should be sold

Reina has done that a lot of times this season :p, still poo myself everytime though. Also even hos bad games his kicks found touch about 2/10 when under pressure. Ball in hand kicks are pretty much perfect

Also the hate de gea gets is ridiculous, can be a great keeper, most seem to jump on any goal that could remotely look like hus fault and blame him. His footwork is decent too :p
Still think ferguson musmanaged him completely

I don't see the problem with De Gea. Every game i have see him play, he seems to be very solid

He's solid the majority of the time. There aren't many goalkeepers who are flawless 100% of the time. Even Joe Hart makes as many/more mistakes than De Gea in my experience this season. Hart is more confident when claiming crosses etc, but De Gea is getting better at that.

The issue is, somewhat from our own fans, that any small error he makes gets massively blown out of proportion and it creates a negative effect. He's got tons of potential and can only improve, unless people keep hounding him relentlessly.

I've seen people try and blame him for goals that he could do absolutely nothing about, or even worse, they criticised him for not diving for a ball he'd never even get near anyway... That happens all the time, sometimes the ball flies into the net and there's nothing you can do.

His distribution is largely very good as well, and he's one of the better goalkeepers with the ball at his feet.

Listening to commentators is the main issue. They are the most sheep minded idiots imaginable and just spout the latest accepted wisdom. De Gea makes a great finger tip stop and no defender follows up and the commentators are screaming "he has to push the ball away there".

De gea has been responsible for very very few goals in the last 10 games. If the defence were better organised and disciplined we wouldn't have any issues. When Smalling and Jones played the other week it was painful at times how little composure they had when they won the ball back. That can't give any keeper confidence.

De Gea is just another Suarez. At some point they will love him again like all the media is doing with Suarez at the moment.

Pretty much every goal we ever concede is blamed on De Gea somehow, it gets boring after a while. He does need to grow some balls and learn to catch though...

Looking like a vacant sheep as the ball passes him isnt going to inspire confidence either

At the end of the day the only place any player can really improve /test himself is in live games. Training helps but its live games where there is 100% commitment etc etc, if any player just gives up then they arent pushing themselves to the heights they could be able to get to

The problem De Gea has had this year is uniteds pathetic defending.

He's been sold down the river at some point in virtually every match this season.

Last year, statistically he was the 6th best keeper in the league.
