Well with Walcott ruled out I really think Wenger is going to be forced to go big in the transfer market. I have no idea who, or what is available, hard times.

Roma signed Paredes from Boca, apparently a promising 19 year old Argentinian AMC. He comes on an 18 month loan, with a fee of 250k. He will spend the first 6 months on loan at a low table Serie A team (since in Italy you can buy only 2 non-EU players per season), then spend next year at Roma. His future fee is set at 4.5M. He has already departed for Rome.

Roma are close to signing Nainggolan from Cagliari. 3.5M for a 6 month loan, 6.5M future fee for half the player. The player will sign a 4 1/2 year deal at 1.6M yearly. Should be done in the next few days.

Roma also pretty much got Nemanja Radonjic, a young Serbian winger. He was at Trigoria (training ground) for some time, but he will join the team at the end of the season.

Finally, Roma also pretty much secured the signing of Mihailo Milutinovic,17 year old centre back from Braga B. He will join on a free at the end of the season.

Yes, neither I have the idea who the last two are :o

Watch Wenger say Bendtner is back soon and that Giroud was only out due to illness. He'll just push Giroud into playing pretty much every game, give Podolski the odd one here and there, until Giroud really is injured. Unless Giroud picks up a proper injury before the end of Jan, I doubt we'll sign a striker.

I can't see us signing anybody either - although I seriously pray we do. I just can't think of anybody we'd be interested in that will be available - can you?

How is Sonogo (sp?) doing?

Yas786, think on the wing Gnabry could do a good job but we are extermely light upfront now. I agree we have to get someone now, even if it's loan or someone for the future, Podolski is our only fit option upfront and he's not really set things alight when we have played him there. In a sense I do agree with Wenger, all the quality players aren't going to be looking to move now and best we can do is a young player or someone that has fallen out of favour at their club, but hopefully not Balotelli.
Poor Walcott, just on his way back to form and then this. Think it's poor how people thought he was faking injury.

Robbo, Gundogan would be good for Man utd, personally hope you don't get him, the same way I hoped Moyes didn't offer more for Cesc in the summer.

I think Gnabry will get more game time now that Walcott is injured, hes done an admirable job covering for him earlier in the season when he first got injured. Sure hes young but now is the time for the lad to really stake a claim in the starting lineup...everytime ive seen him play ive been really impressed with him.

Personally i dont think Wenger will sign anyone but rather get someone in as a loan till the end of the season. IMHO that makes better sense as there arent going to be many bargains in Jan and i know Wenger has a huge hard on for Benzema at Real but Real arent selling as far as they are concerned in Jan unless we offer a stupid amount of money, which Wenger wont do.

Anyhow lets see what Wenger does, would be amazing if he did get a world class striker in this window for a good price but i just cant see it.

As for the Spurs?? well if the rumours are true that they were chanting 'Let him die', when Walcott was down injured then i sincerely hope they get whacked hard with a fitting punishment along with their pathetic coin throwing as well. Seems like Clattenburg included those chants in his final game report and the FA are now investigating.

after how good the summer went I very much doubt moyes and woodward will get any good signings infact why would anyone want to join utd right now?

Looking at it another way, not only would it be easy to get into the 1st team, but also not that hard to improve performances either :):(

A few websites (none very reputable) suggesting Coentrao deal has been done but hedging bets on whether its loan or outright. Wages are likely to be verging on the ridiculous

Wouldnt be surprised if we end up with Matic for an inflated £25-30m :(

A few of the really big clubs appear to be chasing that guy. Sounds good but will probably end up being very pricey (who-ever gets him)

Even if that's true, I doubt the FA will give much weight to it. If they do then they're bigger idiots than I already thought they were. No reasonable person would honestly think they actually meant it, it's all in jest of course.

As for the coin throwing, apparently both sets of fans were reported to be throwing coins throughout the match so if one is penalised surely the other should be too.

Walcott's a big miss for England. Townsend is dross. Milner is useful to have around but I don't want him starting on the right. We need Sterling to develop fast, or the Ox to have a very good six months!

Not that we'll win it anyway :(
