January Transfer Window

Fulham were linked with a loan offer with Shevchenko..for the rest of the season, cant see that happening.

Can see Utd signing a striker myself - hopefully someone like Berb.

We didn't boo Fat Sol. Well not until the West Ham sham.

Oh, and I wouldn't want Defoe, he's not good enough.

oh yeah, forgot about that. captain of totenham, to arsenal. it was the biggest piece of crap i herd from my m8s, and then, BAM, the TVs going all about it:o

Nah, I'd rather have Ronaldinho. Surely the most ridiculous rumour of January so far :D

honestly, i wouldn't even joke about it. ronaldino will come when hes 50 and shriveled, just like most of the rejects we bought (who helped us to UEFA cup final, unlike the kids crapgate is bringing in). honestly, i dunno whats gonna happen, but i hope for gods sake southgate is fired. he never deserved the jobin the first place. we could have gone for O'Neil, but no stick with sh!tgate. i have no faith in him. we need a new manager. ronaldinho will nor get ** out of relegation with southgate in charge of the ship. id even gladly accept souness who would let relegation come to terms.

I'd be glad if an EPL team bought Hutton for a couple of million quid. He's showing good form at the moment but I don't think he's got real class. He'll never be worth more than he is now.

Good grief.!

Out of the 20 first pick right backs in currently playing in the EPL, how many do you think are better than Hutton?.

The coaches of Lyon, Barca and Stuttgart have all complimented him and SAF reckons he has "everything to succeed at the very top, he now just needs experince".

He`s performed to an outstanding level in the Champions League and the European Qualifiers impressing against Italy, France, Stuttgart, Lyon etc.

£2 Million m8?.

Attacking full backs with the pace and skill of Hutton are rarer than hen`s teeth.

You aren`t Martin Bain by any chance are you?. :)

and that is why Man U wont win anything this season....they need another striker BADLY

We wouldn't win anything without Cantona. We wouldn't win anything without Schmeichel. We wouldn't win anything without Beckham. We wouldn't win anything without Nistelrooy.

Oh wait...

To be fair you proberly are short of a striker; when fit Saha doesn't look half the player he was and im not convinced Tevez is going to be a huge goal scorer for you. Saying that you managed last year but you'll need Ronaldo to keep scoring at the rate he is if either Tevez doesn't start banging them in or you don't bring somebody in.

In all competitions, Tevez will probably get 15 goals. Rooney should be looking to get 20. Ronaldo (at this rate) will probably end up with 25+.

But it would be nice to have some more backup.

15 goals isn't many considering it seems he's the one of the 2 (with Rooney) who's playing right up top. But as i said above as long as Ronaldo and Rooney stay fit and are scoring ~20 goals each then it shouldn't be noticed, it wouldn't look to good if either got a fairly long-term injury though and you were relying on Tevez and Saha for your goals.

You could say that about any team though, if Torres gets injured you have to rely on Kuyt and Voronin, if Drogba gets injured they will have to rely on Shev and Pizzaro

The fact is if your main goal scorer is injured your gonna struggle, whatever team it is

Of course but you can't rely on Saha to be fit which would then leave you with just 1 first team striker if either Tevez or Rooney got injured. I agree Chelsea are in the same boat with Drogba, like you say we'd struggle without Torres but we would still have 3 strikers available.

I really think we need a left and right back (does anyone really think GN will make it back this season?) as well as a striker.

Shorey would be a good addition (always great to have more British players) but it sounds like Simpson is going to be loaned out for the rest of the season (I hope not, but thats what I just read)

Rooney has been injured enough this season already (please no more) - maybe its just me, but Man Utd arent sharing the goals around the team quite so much so far this season, ok we arent even half way through the season but only a few players are regularly scoring and that makes me very nervous

Ronaldinho to Chelsea in Janurary, 7m a year

Just heard on the radio that some spanish newspaper are saying he's joining chelsea next month :o

The same source claiming Vieira had joined Real no doubt!

Can't see why Barca would get rid at the moment with Henry out for ever it would seem. He's not been very good for a while too.

I expect a right flaming for saying this but I wouldn't mind getting Crouch as a back-up striker. I actually quite rate him - strong player, amazing in the air, and in good form as well.

Wouldn't say he's amazing in the air but he's not bad. He struggles with some crosses because he doesn't have the power to direct his headers but others that only require a flick he's very good at.

As for having him as a backup striker, no chance. He's ours and I want to keep him.
