I guess you are ignorning the Ferrari years when Barrichello, Irvine and Massa(to a lesser extent) where not allowed to attempt to beat him
That's funny....I seem to recall several races where Rubens didn't just beat Schumacher, but beat him convincingly ('02 Hungary and Italy, '03 Britain, '04 China....). As far as the other two go....not hugely surprising that Massa very rarely got the better of Schumacher, and Irvine would be the first to admit that he wasn't in MS's class.
The championship in 94 shoud have been stripped from him (along with the wins) due to what happened in Adelaida), and if anyone is stupid enough to doubt he did it on purprose 97 proves it catagorically. '97 wins should be stripped from the record, because of what he did to JV's car (even if it was unsuccessful)
So that's 13 wins out of the 46 you need to actually beat my point....
His record would look remarkably different if the CORRECT decisions had been made by the FIA but as always they whimped out as they always seem to do when the tough decisions are needed.

FYI Just because Senna did similar isnt a reasonable arguement imo - yes he may have been one of the greatest (hard to judge different eras like Clarke, GHill, Surtees, Stewart, Fangio etc against 80's/90's/00's drivers) but his infalability shouldnt allow for future generations to get away with the same thing
Um....no-one is suggesting that future champions make a habit of cheating simply because cheating has happened in the past. It's just be nice if people would get past the moments where Schumacher was particularly unsporting (Adelaide '94 maybe, Jerez '97 certainly, Monaco '06 comically....), and could remember that for the vast majority of the races he took part in and won he was simply better than everyone else out there.
And for the record its quite probable that if MS had won 10-14 less races he wouldnt have won a single championship , and that would put a completely different reflection on his F1 record, so 46 is completely irrelevant
LOL. Yeah, think you might be on a sticky wicket there Frank. 13 race wins less from his 91 total takes out '94 and '97. So he 'only' wins 5 titles in that universe. As in, only
equals the record of the greatest GP driver of all time rather than beating him.
OH NOES!!!!1111oneoneoneeleven
You know, if you hadn't said "usually" I wouldn't have had nearly as much of a problem with your initial post. He didn't "usually" cheat to win. He won an awful lot without his team having to do something untoward, or having a team-mate pull over, or even having to pull the chop move at the start (something that young Lewis picked up awfully quickly....). If you're going to throw around terms like "usually", at least have hard and fast figures to back your point up. Not too hard, is it?
