Japanese Grand Prix 2010, Suzuka - Race 16/19

Brilliant team radio from Hamilton there, talking to the team saying how bad it is and saying "Wooaahh!" as he had a wiggle halfway through explaining just how bad it is.

Yip, Programme starts at 5, qualy is scheduled to start at 6. According to the forecasts though the rain is going to get much worse by the start of qualy, currently at 30mm per hour, forecast says anything up to 80mm per hour, and they can barely drive just now.
 
Lol at the Toro Rosso's on "pole" moments, best part of the session...

Looks like the qualifying is going to be postponed, since the rain is said to be getting progressively worse, at the moment it's not even drivable or safe..
 
They will struggle to to qually tomorrow, this rain isn't expected to stop until shortly before the race start.

Hopefully they will use FP3 results for the grid, torro rosso, hrt and virgin filling the first 3 rows.
 
hope quali goes ahead - don't want the grid set by fp times or championship order.

Bernie would probably prefer to set it by numerical order if possible if only to bring the McLarens back into the title fight for the last few races :D
 
I don't know why nobody has thought of it.. they're in japan ffs...

Go out, grab a couple of dozen consoles, a few copies of F1 2010, and let them simulate qualifying in the dry... and use that to set the grid....

well, if it was good enough for lewis, his brother, and jake humphries, it'd be good enough for a 'simulated' qualifying session.. and more interesting than staring at the rain for an hour.

Don't fancy being Lee McKenzie just now, very first time presenting the show and she could potentially have to fill up 4 hours.
