What were they found guilty of doing?

All the top teams push the rules to the limits, it is the very nature of the sport.
I think people need to distinguish between cheating and pushing the boundaries of the rules.
I know, but my question isn't what they were accused of, its what have they been found guilty of
I find almost as boggling as the fact that Hamilton hasn't added to his tally since '08....
It's the nature of F1, Williams were dominant prior to Senna joining because of the active suspension and traction control. When it was banned Senna could not cope with Msc in the Benneton so rumours were thrown around that the Benneton still had traction control [ not sure if it was ever proved one way or the other]. Throw enough s*** and some will stick , so it's what teams do.
r.
Not sure because I would assume they would have been stripped of their points.
In Winter 2012, clearly things didnt go well.
Hamilton must've seen what was to come and left.
McLaren responded by replacing a top line driver with Perez (this shows the team have now lost their ambition).
They start 2013 badly and continue the season in the same way. No forward movement. This suggests that they are either bad at developing the car (which I do not believe) OR they are not taking enough risks.
They had the opportunity this year to weigh in and attempt to destabilize and possibly hire either Kimi or Alonso. They got neither. I dont think they even made an attempt to hire them.
Ferrari on the other hand want to win at any cost. They already have a top line driver. But at the risk of ruffling feathers, they have got themselves another top line driver. Some have said that Kimi/Alonso pairing is one of the strongest pairing ever.
Since 2013, McLaren have shown no evidence of a team which has ambitions to win the title. They appear to be hoping that their design team comes up with a car which 0.5s faster than everybody elses...but the chances of this happening are slim.
To win the title, they need a top line driver. Perhaps they accept that they are not good enough to offer a top driver a decent drive. Who knows.
All in!
Drop Duke and I an email.
Exactly. Everyone has the ability to cheat, but they have to be prooved to have actually done so to receive punishment.
You can't go round banning people based on accusations.
Doesn't really look to good on the FIA that season but, it does say they found similar "software" on other teams cars, I guess proving it was used was pretty difficult.
