Looks like the idiotic 3 hour limit is going to kick off again.
Is this just the effects of a packed calendar pushing it out of it's optimal window?
Vettel's engineer thinks it's going to be another half an hour. Ridiculous. Wasted my non-baby morning for this and there isn't even any racing

3hour limit makes sense in Singapore where it approaches midnight, but here it doesn’t. Fans pay for full race.

Possibly, Andrew Benson (BBC reporter) has tweeted saying that Liberty Media have wanted to move the race to April but the organisers have refused.
I can't blame them to be honest, its always been a later race and possible championship decider, etc

It sort of does, there was just over 3 hours of daylight left from the original start time.
I'm actually surprised it's not closer to Australian GP anyway. I would've assumed logistically it made more sense for them to be closer to each other in time

I was about to head out just as they announced the race would restart so just ate toast instead.
Will head to my local pub for a decent bacon and egg roll when it opens at 9!

I was reading today that F1 wants to move the race to earlier in the season when it's not monsoon season like it is now, but the track owners don't want to......this is completely the wrong time of year to host a race at Suzuka given the typical weather.
At least we are all in the same, annoyed boat together!

It's the drivers that need boats.
Glad they've shut up about this tractor on track, took far too long for someone to point out its normal and that the drivers have to have a consideration for the safety of the Marshall's. While in the conditions they're right to question it, Gasly was still speeding into the relative unknown given the knowledge Marshall's will be on circuit.
